Blanca MIEDES UGARTE, PhD in Economical Sciences, Associate professor of Labour Economics and Active Employment Policies, Vice-dean of European Convergence in the Faculty of Labour Sciences of HUELVA University, is the coordinator of International Networks and Labour Analysis Areas within the Local Employment Observatory (Research Centre). She has directed eleven research projects on local labour markets and on territorial basis, as for instance data panels, travel-to-work areas delimitation, labour market diagnosis, etc. She has taken part in twenty participatory diagnosis and assessments of different Employment Policy actions funded by the European Social Fund (ADAPT and Employment Community Initiatives, Poverty 3, URBAN, EQUAL, Art. 6 of ESF). In addition to this, she has carried out different regional studies on social inclusion through economical activity. In most of her works, she has chosen a gender perspective. Therefore, she has been teaching in various post-graduated courses on these subjects. During the last twelve years she has been working in the international context, participating in several networks involving academics and territorial actors.
